This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal data when you use this website, divebase.io. This is the marketing and early-access website for Dive Base, a product launching in 2026. Dive Base is a product of Adler Net UG (haftungsbeschränkt).

We respect your privacy wherever you live. This policy is written to meet the strict requirements of the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and, where they apply to you, the UK GDPR, the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP), United States state privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended (CCPA/CPRA), Canada's PIPEDA, and the data protection laws of the Middle East and the Asia-Pacific region. Each right below applies to the extent the law of your country or region gives it to you.

What data we collect

On this website we collect only what we need.

Information you give us in the early-access form

  • Your name (optional)
  • Your dive center (optional)
  • Your work email (required)
  • Your country (optional)
  • Your message to us (optional)

Only your work email is required. The form sends these details to the Dive Base platform, where they are stored so our team can contact you.

Technical data

When you visit, our servers and providers automatically process limited technical data needed to deliver the site safely, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you open, and the date and time. We use this to serve the site, keep it secure and prevent abuse.

Analytics data

We measure how the site is used so we can improve it. We use Plausible, which is cookieless and collects no personal data, and Google Analytics 4, which we load only if you accept analytics cookies. Both are explained in our Cookie Policy.

We do not ask for, and do not knowingly collect, special-category or sensitive personal data through this website.

Why we use your data and our legal bases

Under the GDPR and similar laws we rely on these bases:

  • To reply to your early-access request and plan our launch. Our legitimate interest in answering you and preparing the product, and, where relevant, taking steps at your request before a possible contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(f) and 6(1)(b)).
  • To run cookieless analytics (Plausible) and to keep the site secure. Our legitimate interest in understanding and protecting the site (Article 6(1)(f)).
  • To run Google Analytics 4. Your consent, which you give through the cookie banner and can withdraw at any time (Article 6(1)(a)).
  • To meet our legal duties. Where the law requires us to process or keep certain data (Article 6(1)(c)).

Who we share data with

We never sell your personal data, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We share it only with service providers ("processors") that help us run this site, and only as far as they need it:

  • Analytics: Google (Google Analytics 4, only after you accept) and Plausible (cookieless).
  • Hosting and infrastructure: the providers that host this website and the Dive Base platform.
  • Email and customer tools: the tools we use to store your early-access details and to write back to you.

These providers act only on our documented instructions and are bound by contract to protect your data. We may also disclose data if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, safety or property, or those of others.

International data transfers

Some providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where we transfer personal data out of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we rely on a lawful transfer mechanism, such as a European Commission adequacy decision, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, together with extra safeguards where they are needed. How long we keep your data

We keep your early-access details for as long as we need them to talk to you about Dive Base and our launch, and for a reasonable period afterwards, unless you ask us to delete them sooner or the law requires us to keep them longer. Technical and analytics data are kept for a limited period set by us and by each analytics tool. When data is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.

How we protect your data

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and the principle of least access. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and to meet our legal duties, including notifying you and the relevant authority of a personal data breach where the law requires.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have some or all of the rights below. To use any of them, contact us at info@divebase.io. We will verify your request, respond within the time the law allows, and never treat you unfairly for using your rights. Using these rights is free, except where the law allows a reasonable fee for an excessive or repeated request.

Europe, the United Kingdom and Switzerland (GDPR, UK GDPR, Swiss FADP)

  • Access a copy of the data we hold about you.
  • Rectification of data that is wrong or incomplete.
  • Erasure of your data ("right to be forgotten").
  • Restriction of how we use your data.
  • Portability of data you gave us, in a portable format.
  • Objection to processing based on legitimate interest.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting what we did before.
  • No solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
  • Complain to a data protection supervisory authority.

You can complain to your local data protection authority. Our lead supervisory authority is the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit).

United States (California and other states)

If you live in a US state with a privacy law (such as California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon and others), you may have the right to:

  • Know and access the personal information we collect and how we use it.
  • Delete the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising.
  • Limit the use of sensitive personal information.
  • Not be discriminated against for using your rights, and to appeal a decision.

We do not sell or share your personal information, and we do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you. Where required, we honour browser-based opt-out signals such as Global Privacy Control (GPC). You may use an authorised agent where the law allows.

Canada (PIPEDA)

You may ask for access to your personal information, challenge its accuracy, and withdraw your consent, subject to legal and contractual limits.

Middle East

If you are in the Middle East, for example the United Arab Emirates (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on Personal Data Protection), the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (Personal Data Protection Law), Bahrain (Law No. 30 of 2018) or Qatar (Law No. 13 of 2016), you may have the right to be informed, to access, correct and delete your data, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent. Children

This website is for dive centers and businesses. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us at info@divebase.io and we will delete it.

Automated decision-making

We do not make decisions about you that are based solely on automated processing and that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
